Boothstown FC has this season moved into open age football with a team in the Lancashire & Cheshire League.
Manager Pete Byram, has a long association with the Club, as he managed a team from U-8's through to U-18's.
Now after a brief spell in semi-pro football with Salford City he's back at Boothstown with many of the players he's coached over the years.
All at Boothstown FC wish them the best of luck and if you would like to watch the lads play, the matches kick off at 2.30 on a Saturday afternoon.

Los Angelinos

August 22, 2010
On August 21st Bridgewater Park host a game between a mixed Boothstown U-15s/U-16s and San Clemente United FC from Los Angeles, California. The boys were on a week long visit to England and were scheduled, amongst others, to play games against Salford Schools, Wigan FC Academy and Oldham Athletic Academy and Boothstown was only too pleased to accept when we were offered the chance to play them in their opening match.
The game was very competitive but sporting encounter with lots of good football from both teams which finished with San Clemente as 4-1 winners at the final whistle.
Everyone from both teams seemed to enjoy the occasion and hopefully we will be able to host a similar fixture next year when the club plans to tour again.

Boothstown to put the boot into The Gambia

February 14, 2010
We were very humbled about the gratitude with which our kit was received by the children at Farafenni School in The Gambia, but, we did notice on the photos that the children's footware didn't exactly lend itself to football.

So we've now decided to take this exchange a step further and try to give them some better shoes in which to play their matches.

We know that many of us have boots or trainers lying around in the garage or shed that are too small or even just not the latest style.

So, if you have any old boots or trainers (reasonable condition only, please) that you no longer require, please drop them off at the Tuck Shop at Bridgwater Park and we'll make sure that they go on to be used by some very grateful children in The Gambia.

From December 2009 the children at Farafenni School in The Gambia can now play their matches in a smart new kit, a Boothstown FC kit taken over by a work colleague of Dave Tinsley.
I'm sure we would all like to wish them the best of luck in their future matches.
